Pricing Policy

I built this app because I was tired of subscription fatigue. You pay once, you own it. Here's what that means:

• No subscriptions - Pay once, own it
• No recurring fees - No monthly or annual charges
• No hidden costs - Price you see is the price you pay
• No vendor lock-in - Your documents stay on your device, accessible anytime

We will never paywall these core capabilities:

• 1 profile with 5 documents (free tier)
• Smart expiry reminders
• On-device encryption and privacy
• Offline access to your documents
• PDF export and sharing
• PIN + Biometric Lock (Face ID / Touch ID)

The free tier will always remain genuinely useful, not a crippled trial. It's designed for an individual traveller keeping their essential documents in one place. Families typically need Pro, which unlocks unlimited profiles and documents.

All purchases are processed through:

• Apple App Store (iOS, iPadOS, macOS)
• Google Play Store (Android). available now

We do not:

• Process payments directly
• Store your payment information
• Have access to your credit card or billing details

Your payment information is handled exclusively by Apple or Google according to their security standards.

Refund requests must be directed to the App Store (Apple or Google) through their standard refund process:

• Apple: Request refund at reportaproblem.apple.com
• Google: Request refund through Google Play Store app or play.google.com

App store refund policies typically allow:

• · Timeframes and eligibility vary by store and country
• · Refunds for accidental purchases
• · Refunds if app doesn't work as described

Note: We (Travel Document Vault) do not control or process refunds. All refund decisions are made by Apple or Google according to their policies.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing for new purchases at any time. Price changes do not affect:

• Existing Pro users - you keep what you paid for
• Features already purchased - no retroactive price increases
• Free tier users - free features remain free

If you purchase Pro at $9.99, that's your price forever (for v1.x). Even if we increase the price to $14.99 for new users tomorrow, your purchase is honored.

Pricing may vary by region based on:

• Local currency conversion rates (set by Apple/Google)
• Regional taxes and fees
• App store policies in your country

The price you see in your local App Store is the final price you'll pay (including any applicable taxes).

We will never charge you for:

• Downloading or installing the app
• Bug fixes or security updates
• Using features you already purchased
• Accessing your own documents
• Restoring your purchase on your own devices (same App Store or Google Play account); document syncing via Your Own Cloud backup
• Customer support

There are no recurring or consumable in-app purchases. The only purchase available today is the single Pro unlock. No coins, no premium currencies, no surprise charges. If a future major version (v2.0) is ever offered as a separate optional purchase, it will follow the Version Policy above.

We chose a one-time purchase model because:

• Simplicity - No recurring billing to track or worry about
• Accessibility - Affordable one-time cost, not ongoing expense
• Trust - Your documents stay on your device, accessible regardless of payment status
• Alignment - A document vault is something you set up once and use for years

Subscription models create vendor lock-in. If you stop paying, you lose access to your own documents. That doesn't align with our privacy-first philosophy.
