Why I built this app

Your Documents Stay With You

Built by a parent who needed it. Your documents stay readable only by you. Optional backup goes to your own iCloud or Google Drive, sealed with a recovery code only you hold.

Built by a Parent

I built this app because I needed it for my own family. It has separate profiles for every family member and automatic expiry reminders months before renewal becomes urgent. There's no VC funding pushing me to sell your data and no roadmap driven by growth metrics; it's simply a tool that solves one problem, properly.

Offline by Design

The safest server for passport scans is no server at all, which is why the app keeps documents on your device and works fully offline by default. If you turn on backup, your encrypted vault goes to your own iCloud or Google Drive, sealed with a recovery code only you hold.

On-Device Encryption

Documents are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM, using keys held in your device's Secure Enclave. That's strong, modern encryption - and you should still protect your phone with a strong passcode and App Lock.

Common Questions

Is it really private?
Yes. By default, everything is stored on your device only. We have no servers and no access to your documents. If you turn on optional backup (Pro), your encrypted vault is stored in your own iCloud or Google Drive, sealed with a recovery code only you hold. We still cannot read it. Neither can Apple or Google. Don't take our word for it - verify it yourself.
What if I lose my phone?
Your vault stays on your device, encrypted with a key that never leaves it. A regular phone backup reinstalls the app but cannot restore your documents. To move to a new phone, turn on Your Own Cloud backup (Pro) for one-tap restore, or use the free Vault Export.
Can I sync between devices?
Yes. With Pro, turn on Your Own Cloud backup to sync your encrypted vault to your iCloud or Google Drive. You hold the recovery code. We never access your data.
What is the trip planner?
The trip planner groups family documents by trip and shows a readiness traffic light - green when everyone is ready, amber if someone's passport is expiring soon. Plan trips together with confidence.
